Changing Screen Resolution to 1024 x 768


1. Press "Windows" key and the letter "D" at the same time.
HINT: The "Windows" key is on the lower left portion of the keyboard between the "Control" and "Alt" key.



This will take you to the Desktop.

 

2. With your mouse, right click on an empty portion of the desk top (somewhere that has no icons) and click on the last option, Properties.

 

3.The following screen will appear:

 

4. Left click on the "Settings" tab:

 

5. The following screen will appear:

 

6. In the Screen Area portion, drag the slider 1 notch to the right:

 

7. The numbers beneath the slider will now say "1024 by 768 pixels":

 

8. Click the Apply Button:

 

9. Click "OK" when the Display Properties pop up box appears:

 

10. Click "Yes" when the Monitor Settings pop up box appears (you have 15 seconds to click this):

Directions for returning the resoloution

1. Follow steps 1 to 10 for the directions above, the only difference is below:

for step 6 - move the slider one notch to the left, so the number beneath says "800 by 600 pixels" then follow the rest of the directions the same.
