The cadis® release policy

Our software 𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘀® is constantly being developed and further enhanced.

The software development industry is always changing. We live in a world of continuous development, where software is constantly evolving. And we are here to explain how we can achieve it!

𝗦𝗼, 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲?

Well, we will give you a sneak peek. We launch 3 major releases of 𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘀® per year. In between those major releases, however, there are also several incremental releases. Every 3 weeks we build an increment of 𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘀®. While all increments are fully deployable the major releases carry LTS support (“long-term support”), i.e. the capability to fix bugs without updating to the most recent product increment version.

Every incremental or major change has to be tested extensively. Besides producing a lot of unit and integration tests our development teams have dedicated testers, who test tangible scenarios and automate regression tests. New use cases are exercised from A to Z in the 𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘀® development cycle, interacting with numerous testers who have different roles (e.g., testing or interacting as a dispatcher, delivery driver, warehouse employee, yard dispatcher). Of course, building features may be the most talked about part of the job – but it is by no means all of it. Before a product feature is released, documentation needs to be updated, translations need to be done and our 𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘀® experts need to be trained.

𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘂𝘁

Under our standard release cycle our 𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘀® SAAS customers automatically receive each 𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘀® major release (3 per year). But in the real world not all cycles can be standardized all the time.
Sometime customers have an urgent need for a particular feature. The time to the next major release can stretch very long if business demand action today. In these cases we can provide a special delivery track enabling the customer to receive an increment release in-between the major releases. Or some customers might express a certain urgency for a specific feature or the like.

These are the times when our experts work at full speed to deliver solutions to our customers in the shortest possible time.
